The early morning hours of your first day will find you 16 miles east off the Fernberg Trail and 2 miles down the dusty Canadian Border Road  to Don's private Moose Lake Landing. There, Jasper Creek's reliable tow boat service is ready to transport you and your party through the scenic Moose Lake Chain to one of several select wilderness entry points, including world renowned Basswood Lake and the Canada/ Minnesota border waters. All of Jasper Creek's fishing trips will take place in the Superior National Forest,  Minnesota's Boundary Waters Canoe Area  (BWCA), the pristine and historical border waters that flow along Ontario's Quetico Provincial Park, or north into the wilderness of Ontario's Quetico Park.

"Our trip may take us into the backwoods of the  Boundary Waters Canoe Area to fish the remote inland  lakes. Perhaps we'll find ourselves exploring the crystal clear waterways of the Knife Lake Drainage, located on the Minnesota / Canadian border.  We may opt to portage into world renowned Basswood Lake to set a comfortable mid summer base camp; or our plan may be to paddle its vast expanse westward to the scenic Basswood River and head downstream into the smallmouth bass haven called, "Crooked Lake". Jasper Creek trips have been known to paddle and portage onward past beautiful Curtain Falls and into the dark waters of Iron Lake and even beyond into the sprawling waters and excellent fishing of Lac la Croix. But one thing is for sure, wherever we decide to dip our paddles or portage our gear and set our camp; Jasper Creek will safely guide you to the very best in fishing spots, to the grandest of scenic views, and the most comfortable campsites."

From the shaded, boulder strewn and timbered shorelines, to the  jagged rip- rap points and on out to the 'hidden' open water reefs, Jasper Creek guides will take you to where trophy smallmouth bass lay in wait, where tasty walleyes school, voracious northern pike lurk, and even the colorful but delicate lake trout are found cruising the depths."
