"Our trip may take us deep into the backwoods and secluded waterways of the  Boundary Waters Canoe Area, or perhaps we'll find ourselves exploring the crystal clear waterways of the Knife Lake Drainage located on the Minnesota / Canadian border.  We may opt to portage into world renowned Basswood Lake to set a comfortable mid summer base camp, or our plan may be to paddle its vast expanse westward to the scenic and historic Basswood River. There we'll  head downstream into the smallmouth bass haven coined, "Crooked Lake". Jasper Creek trips have been known to paddle and portage onward past beautiful Curtain Falls and into the dark waters of Iron Lake and even beyond into the sprawling waters and excellent fishing of Lac la Croix. We've taken parties deep into Canada's Quetico Park, to seldom visited waters.

And when the time comes for us to test our angling abilities; we'll cast the shaded, boulder strewn and timbered shorelines,  the  jagged rip- rap points and over the 'hidden' open water reefs.  Jasper Creek guides will take you to where the trophy smallmouth bass lay in wait and where the walleyes school. We'll cast where the voracious northern pike lurk, and we'll hunt for the colorful lake trout that are found cruising the depths. Wherever we decide to dip our paddles or portage our gear and set our camp; Jasper Creek guides will safely take you to the very best in fishing spots, to the grandest of scenic views, and to the most comfortable campsites found throughout the BWCA and Quetico Park."
