This trip option is for the group of anglers who focus on - FISH!
Includes : Eureka tents (roomy 4 person and 6 person styles), Therma-Rest pads, Slumberjack sleeping bags (comfortable and freshly laundered after each trip), Eureka screen tent, sturdy Duluth packs, large kitchen tarp, extra rope, canoes (Aluminum & Kevlar), backrests, Grey Owl wooden paddles, Stearns personal flotation devices, seat cushions, and a delicious backcountry menu w/ all neccessary camp cooking and eating equipment/ utensils, Coleman camp stove(s), and a cooler w/ice,live bait (BWCA Trips Only), bait containers and marker bouys.
The Itinerary:You and your group are outfitted for a comfortable Basecamp with the best gear available. After completing a detailed routing with Guide/ Outfitter Don Beans, you and your party will be transported, via Towboat (Rates not included) and be 'DROPPED' off; either at a select entry point or depending on your chosen route, right at your BWCAW campsite. Your group will be on their own for the remainder of the trip, experiencing the 'solitude' found here in the Northwoods and partake in it's fabulous fishing! You will be picked up at a pre- determined entry point or at your BWCAW campsite on your last day and be brought back to the Jasper Creek Guide Service's base.
'Day One' Guide Service -Professional service provided on the first day of your trip, aiding you in campsite selection, setting up a tight camp, lending a helping hand in various camp chores, and offering savvy 'woods wise' advice. Rate-$225.00 (Only available on trips to select BWCA lakes.)
Rates: 4 Adults/ 5 Days - $1,829.00 ($91.45 person/day) / Additional Adults - $449.00 per trip, $399.00 children (15 years and younger). Rates are based on 18.5 ft. Alumacraft lightweight canoes. Those preferring the SourisRiver kevlar canoe, add $12.50 per day for each canoe. Grumman/ Marathon 19 foot square stern guide canoe are also available for an additional $10.50 per day for each canoe.
Additional trip fees: include QueticoPark and/or BWCA camping fees, tow boat service fees, Canadian/Minnesota fishing licenses, Canadian RABC permits (see CANADA Page) all pre- trip and post trip meals & lodging, and the 6. 5% MN Sales Tax (on outfitting).
These are great trips for the group that wants to experience the BWCA/ Quetico area on their own but still get a helping hand to start the trip off on the right track. Note: Jasper Creek's 'DROP' Camps take place on select Minnesota - Canadian (Ontario) border waters and on select inland waters of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) located entirely inside Minnesota. Depending on where and when your trip will take place, certain live bait species are regulated and certain individual sportfish have special harvesting regulations.
