"I can remember back when I started fishing with my Dad. How much fun and excitement there was; the two of us spending time together in the great outdoors. At times, I can still feel the hot and humid air and see the 'heat' lightning during the dark nights we would spend on an Ohio reservoir fishing for bullheads and channel cats. I vividly remember my Dad, my sister and brother, and I walking the tall grassy shoreline of an unnamed farm creek; casting into any deep hole for a sunfish, bass, or chub. The memories of the annual trips that my Dad, my Uncle John, and I would take to Canada and fish for walleyes always crack a smile. I often daydream of the autumn squirrel hunts in the big hickory, oak and beech woods of east Ohio with my Dad and Mr. Barrick; and there are moments I can still hear the long drawn out bawl of my beagle hounds; Rascal and Rebel, as they bring a cottontail down along the old stone fence in a farmstead apple orchard. I feel the excitement of a twelve year old boy as the rabbit moves closer and the baying becomes louder. Oh yes, there are the long walks in the damp April woods, searching for the delectable morel mushroom among violets and big leafed may apples. How important those early adventures were to me and even more, the memories now. Those early outdoor forays shaped my life and have allowed me to live this life that I do!"
So here's the deal - Jasper Creek is offering a completely outfitted and guided wilderness canoe trip package for two consisting of an adult and youth (15 years or younger). The adult may be a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or sibling.
Includes - Professional guide service, Timberline tents, freshly laundered Slumberjack sleeping bags, Therma-Rest pads, sturdy Duluth packs, large kitchen fly, stable canoes, paddles, Stearns life preservers and flotation cushions, live bait (BWCA Trip only), delicious camp food, and all camp kitchen equipment, PLUS round trip towboat service to any of the select drop off points on the Moose Lake Chain (Ensign Lake, Birch Lake, or Prairie Portage).
All you need to bring is clothing & personal gear along with selected fishing gear - Jasper Creek provides the rest and you can count on QUALITY!
Trips are based on a five day/ four night stay in the wilderness. Trips are available first come- first reserved starting Sunday, June1 through Friday, August 29 2008.
Trip Rates- per one adult w/ one child- ONLY- $1,899.00. Each additional Adult/ child pair is $1,289.00 Each additional single adult is $849.00 per trip. Additional single children (15 years old or younger) are $359.00 per trip. A $200.00 deposit is necessary to hold the selected dates.
Package price does not include:Canadian/Minnesota fishing licenses, BWCA and/or Quetico Camping Fees, Canadian RABC permits (see CANADA Page), pre trip and post trip meals and lodging, or any applicable taxes.
Jasper Creek Guide Service can provide all the fishing equipment and tackle needed for your trip for $59.95 for each adult and $39.95 for each child (15 years old and younger).
